SHACKLETTE, MARY VIRGINIA, 60 of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 5, 2007. She was born June 16, 1946 in Brandenburg, KY. A registered nurse, Mary graduated from Saints Mary & Elizabeth School Of Nursing in 1967. She retired from Methodist Hospital after serving in various positions in the OB/GYN and Recovery Departments. In recent years she was self-employed as a certified case manager and disability management specialist. Her parents, Albert and Mary Alice Shacklette; and two brothers, Bill and Larry Shacklette; preceded her in death. She is survived and missed by three siblings, Jane Clark (George), Naples, FL, Gail King (Kelly), Crestwood, KY and Terry Shacklette (Nancy), Brandenburg; two sister- in-laws, Barbara Shacklette and Rebecca Shacklette; 12 nieces and nephews, Cindy Rubino, Sarah Beyer, David Clark, Will and Christian Shacklette, Mary Margaret Miller, Elizabeth Lindsey and Sam Shacklette, Kelli Swinney, Greg and Troy King and Alice Ann Shacklette; several grand-nieces and nephews and a host of friends from the GNO group. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in Brandenburg, with burial to follow in St. George's Cemetery in Brandenburg. The family will receive visitors from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Pearson- Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd., in Middletown. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Hospice of Louisville for the loving care and support they provided and request that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Louisville.
